ince the day I was born, I began to have a proud name—Chinese. Since theday I began to talk, the most beautiful sentence I’ve ever learnt has been “Ilove you, China!”
I love you, China, and I’m so proud of being a Chinese. I’m proud that I’vegot the beautiful yellow skin, black eyes and black hair. I’m also proud that Ispeak the most beautiful language in the world—Chinese.
I love you, China, for I can feel the deep love you give me every day,every minute. Last year, I got an opportunity to visit the United States ofAmerica. During my staying there, my father’s boss once invited my family todinner. Laid-off workers, typically regarded as the victims of economicadvancement, are subject to desperation that being unmeployed has brought onthem. but, encouragingly, we have witnessed some of them striving hard torebuild confidence toward life and discover new opportunities for demonstratingtheir values.
Although we cannot choose our appearance, inborn gifts and even avoidunexpected disasters and adversities, we do have the privilege to choose to liveoptimistcally,to love our lives, to have dreams, and to cherish hopes.
Every morning when we get up, we have a choice of how we want to approachlife that day. as for me, i choose to be cheerful.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of theappetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We growold by deserting our ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul .Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.
Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure ofwonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the gameof living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and powerfrom men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows ofcynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but aslong as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you maydie young at 80.
